PLASTIC CANVAS NOTE HOLDERS

Turn your favorite cross stitch into a magnetic note holder.

Materials:
14 pt. plastic canvas, If you want you can use 10 pt. plastic canvas,
floss, clothes pin, magnet.
Directions:
Choose a cross st. pattern you like, try and keep the finished design about 3” square. Work your design following pattern directions trim. I used white canvas which eliminates having to add a border. Glue a magnet to a clothes pin and the clothes pin to the back of the canvas. You now have a nice note holder for your fridge. This one was made for Christmas but you have many holidays to choose from. A football helmet design for your favorite team works well.

TEDDY BEER COZY

Teddy Beer Cozy

Materials:
1 beer bottle cozy
1 stuffed Teddy Bear
Both items were bought at Dollar Tree.

1. measure up about 2 ¼ “ cut the feet off
the bear remove the stuffing.
2. undo the stitches that make up the legs
sew them to make a tube .
3. remove the stitches across the top of
head of the bear.
4. Cut down the back of the bear for the zipper
opening of the cozy(see photo below). Remove half the stuffing
from the head.
5. Carefully insert the cozy into the bear opening
Stitch along the edges to match the top and back openings
Then stitch around the bottom attaching the feet evenly
Spaced at the front of the bear.

The bottom has no fur just the bottom of the cozy
This helps in standing.

EAR RING ORGANIZER

Ladies! Have you ever went to get one of your favorite pair of earrings and had to untangle them from another pair? Here is a simple organizer that I made for my earrings and it hangs in the door section of my jewelery box with my necklaces as you can see from the photo. Cut one piece of 10 mesh plastic canvas 2" wide and 12" long, stitch a hook at the top of the canvas(I used a hook from a new pair of socks). Cross stitch your name or a small design at the top, or just leave blank. Attach the ear rings by putting stem through the holes and replacing the holder on the back side. Fill it up with your favorite ear rings and hang them up.

CROSS STITCH NOTEBOOK COVER

This is more an idea for you to work from than a pattern.

This note book cover is made with vinyl cross stitch material.
I like this because you do not have to hem it you simply cut it to the size needed to fit the book you want to cover. I took the book measured it top to bottom and cut the material. I then opened it Measured the front, spine, and back totaled them added a couple inches for the fold on the front and back. Chose a pattern I liked did the design on the front. Centered it on the book folded the sides over and blanket stitched or whip stitched the flaps for the front and back which makes a simple book cover. There are many applications for this basic idea and I am sure you will find many, send me a note and let me know what you come up with.
