WOOD SPOON WINE HOLDER

This unique wine bottle holder is made from a wooden spoon and is easy to make.

Materials
1 wood spoon.
2 brass brads.
Wood glue

Tools
Drill with 1 1/4" spade bit.
Hammer.
Hand saw.

Steps
1. Drill 1 1/4" hole in the center of the spoon as in photo above.
2. Sand a taper in the bottom of the hole as in photo above.
3. Repeat step 2 in the top of the hole in the back of the spoon.(this allow bottle to tip at the correct angle).
4. Cut 2 inches off the end of the spoon handle at 45 degrees(angle is cut from the top of the handle toward the dish part of the spoon).
5. Use the piece off the handle for the base of holder as in photo.
6. Reshape the piece off the handle so it is rounded on both ends.
7. Glue the cut off spoon to the section you removed and secure with 2 brass brats
8. Add 2 coats of poly if you wish.
9. Place the wine bottle into the hole in the spoon as in photo(you will have to test the bottle location until it comes to a balancing point).
